Daron’s form of vampirism with her magic was an interesting spin, but I didn’t exactly care for it as the twist. I’d rather have seen it used or weaponized somehow against Jack, who remains my favorite character in the book. I wanted more Jack on the page and wouldn’t be mad if Angelles released a novella for full spin-off novel. ❤
