And I’ve been itching to include a map of Sheraton, which, I am pleased to announce, will be featured in The Book of Dreams! I’ll including it in newer printings of The Book of Water very soon. (If you have The Book of Water on Kindle, the eBook should automatically update when I add the new content!)

I used Inkarnate to create the map (nonaffiliate link), so, if you like creating worlds and maps, check them out! I had SO MUCH FUN making this, I can’t even begin to tell you.
Author Spotlight: L.C. Mortimer!
This month, L.C. Mortimer and I are doing an author swap! Check out her novel below!
I would like to introduce you to Hybrid Academy, a school for those with paranormal abilities! Here are the comp titles and the blurb:
Fans of Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural โ get ready to dive into a world where magic is powerful, clever witches rule the world, and vampires lurk in the darkness.
It was an otherwise normal Tuesday when I found out that I’m not alone in the universe.
At 2:05, my grandmother vanished, taken by vampires I didn’t know existed.
At 3:30, my aunt showed up to explain how the world really operates.
By 5:00, I was on my way to Hybrid Academy: a school for people like me.
At 7:30, I was walking into my dorm for the first time and discovered that Hybrid Academy isn’t so unlike high school.
There are the popular witches, the dreamy warlocks, the shy magicians, and yes, even the shifters.
Hi.
I’m Max.
And this is my story.
Interested? Check out her novel here! It is available on Kindle Unlimited!
Now for the Main Event:
What’s Your Personality Type?
The Enneagram. The MBTI. Do those ring any bells, or is it all alphabet soup? I grew up in the area of teen magazine horoscopes that were so incredibly accurate (note the playful sarcasm there), so it makes sense that I naturally gravitated toward other personality type indicators that offered insight into behavioral triggers.
(In case you were curious about my types: Enneagram 3w2, MBTI ENFJ.)
As a writer, one thing I love about personality type indicators isn’t the content that seems super accurate. It’s using it to develop character personalities.
I develop character personalities profiles for every project, but they aren’t 20-page novellas or endless worksheets of checkboxes and lists of quirks. They’re mostly personality type indicators like the Enneagram and the MBTI. The Enneagram is a personal favorite because it focuses a LOT on stress points and disintegration, all while using that knowledge to focus on growth, adjustment, and happiness. Isn’t that perfect for an author crafting plots and subplots with internal and external conflict??
Have you read The Book of Water yet? If you have, then you’ve met Celine and Owen. What do you think their personality types are? Use the link below to view an exclusive page on my website, only accessible to those on my newsletter (at least until the URL gets leaked, lol). The page is unlisted on my website; only my subscribers get access.
